// Task

The International Vocal Competition is a television project taking place on the central TV channel, with a large number of participants and the active involvement of viewers during the broadcasts.

The main objective of the project was to develop an online voting platform that would allow viewers to vote in real time during the competitive rounds.

The platform was supposed to provide:

  • stable operation during the broadcasts;
  • automatic start and end of voting;
  • displaying intermediate and final results;
  • convenient management of participants;
  • support for multiple voting methods.

Additionally, it was important to implement an administrative system that allows organizers to quickly manage tours, participants, and content without the involvement of developers.

// Solution

01. UX/UI platform design

We have developed a platform interface with an emphasis on the speed of interaction, clear navigation and the convenience of voting.

The user script was built in such a way that the viewer could:

  • quickly find the right participant;
  • Read the information;
  • vote for the minimum number of actions.

Special attention was paid to the display of the voting results and the visual presentation of the competitive stages.

02. Administrative voting management System

An administrative voting control panel has been implemented for the project.

The system allowed:

  • create new tours;
  • upload participants;
  • add photos and media content;
  • edit descriptions;
  • manage the voting schedule;
  • monitor the display of results.

This allowed the organizers to flexibly manage the platform in real time.

03. Automation of voting processes

One of the key tasks of the project was the automation of voting scenarios.

Implemented on the platform:

  • automatic start of voting by time and date;
  • automatic completion of stages;
  • displaying intermediate results;
  • publication of the voting results for each round.

This approach minimized the number of manual actions and reduced the likelihood of errors during the broadcasts.

04. Integration of different voting methods

Several voting and authorization scenarios have been implemented for the platform.:

  • via SMS;
  • via email;
  • via VKontakte;
  • through Odnoklassniki.

Additionally, integrations with external services for voice processing and user script management were implemented.

This made it possible to make voting as accessible as possible to a wide audience.

05. Participant and Content Management

A loading system has been implemented for each tour:

  • participants;
  • photos;
  • media materials;
  • descriptions.

The platform was designed so that the project team could quickly prepare new stages of the competition and update information without the need for developer intervention.

06. Adaptability and user scenarios

The platform worked correctly on various devices, including mobile phones and tablets.

Special attention was paid to:

  • interaction rates;
  • the stability of the interfaces;
  • correct operation of user scripts during peak loads.

// Result

The website has become the digital center of the contest: viewers across the country vote in real time, follow the broadcast, get to know the participants and review the performances. The platform can withstand peak load during broadcasts and collects hundreds of thousands of votes without failures. The archive, schedule, and jury sections support stable engagement, and the adaptive mobile version is convenient on any device. The project received a lot of positive feedback, enhanced the TV show and expanded its reach.
